15 minutes away. Crabbing on the harbour, a trip up Staithe street, fish and chips ‘sat on the wall’ Not to mention the award-winning beach. Wells is highly recommended and a family favourite.
Visit to the Buttlands for a little peace and quiet, or rave to live music on board the Albatross.

15 minutes away. It is the only windmill in this area in working order that is open to the general public. There is a bakery selling a wide range of delicious cakes and bread for you to purchase on your visit. 20 minutes away. Home to three wonderful wildlife-rich gardens. Take the day to wander around the beautiful gardens. Plenty for the kids to do, with huge outdoor play area and for wet days an indoor soft play.

25 minutes away. Holt's fine 18th century Georgian buildings make the town most attractive. Home to many art galleries, antique and book shops. Many places to eat located along the high street and tucked away in hidden, charming courtyards and alleyways.

25 minutes away. The Queen’s country residence set in 24 hectares of glorious gardens. Take a peaceful woodland walk, see the carrstone rockeries and enjoy the splendour of the North Garden with its pleached lime avenues.

30 minutes away. Blakeney Point is home to Common and Grey seals and is one of the largest winter colonies in England. Grey seals have their young between November and January and common seals have their pups between June and August. Hop on a boat from Morston Quay or Blakeney harbour to see the seals bobbing around the water or basking on the banks.

30 minutes away. With three beautifully restored century-old stations, the North Norfolk Railway runs from Sheringham to Holt, and is one of the most scenic heritage railways in the UK. The journey takes in some of the most unique views of the coast and countryside.

40 minutes away. Hilltop Outdoor Centre in Sheringham is a high quality, family run, independent Outdoor Education Centre. Hilltop offers a superior, high quality and unique experience to an array of visitors. Open to the public during school holidays (ring to check). Activities include climbing wall, high ropes, zip wires, giant swing and archery.

40 minutes Extensive Military Collection of tanks, guns and military equipment including models, ammunition and light weapons. Open from Easter until the end of October.
Boom!
50 minutes away. Cromer is a favourite with families looking for a more traditional seaside holiday. With great sandy beaches, museums, surfing, plenty of attractions and wonderful walking along the Norfolk Coast Path. Plus, a large pier as its main attraction. Worth a ride to meander down the coast. A little bit like marmite.
1 hour away. UK's best-preserved medieval city, historic cobbled streets, city walls, and the majestic Norman castle and cathedral. Vibrant restaurant and bar scene, one of the best shopping destinations, brilliant cultural attractions.
